Why Choose
Leap Career coaching
I’ve wanted to be a career coach since my early twenties, when I worked in HR at the Royal Bank of Scotland. I still remember watching a consultant help someone shift from feeling negative about redundancy to excitement about new opportunities.
After five years in HR, I found the role restrictive, so I transitioned into project management. I missed the people element of my role, so after a decade in projects, I retrained in Transformative Life Coaching.
I finally felt I was in the career for me as coaching combines everything I love; helping people transform their mindset, achieve their goals and exceed what they believe is possible.
Throughout my career I’ve worked across a variety of environments including public and private sector, energy, recruitment, manufacturing and finance, as well as global organisations such as Mattel at their European headquarters.
These experiences have given me a broad understanding of workplace culture and corporate dynamics, which I now bring into my coaching.
qualifications
I haven’t looked back and since qualifying, I have continued to learn, grow and invest in my development as a coach. I am now certified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Group Coaching, Mindfulness, and I’m a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation. I’m also currently training to become a PCC Assessor.
I draw on these skills, along with my background in HR, interviewing, project controls and my degree in Business Studies, to offer a truly holistic approach to life and career coaching.
I live in Kent with my husband and two children, near the beach, which is my favourite place to be. I know it is possible to find work you love because I truly love mine.

I had the pleasure of working with Laura over the past two years, starting after I was made redundant. From the very beginning, she was empathetic, easy to talk to, and direct, striking the perfect balance between support and challenge. At a very difficult time, she helped me regain my confidence, stay motivated, and quickly land a new role. Beyond job hunting and interviews, she has guided me through different phases of my career journey, encouraging me to reflect deeply and think strategically about what comes next. Her ability to listen, ask the right questions, bring clarity and a different perspective to complex situations has been invaluable. I’ve learned a great deal from her, and I’m grateful for the encouragement she’s provided along the way. She was also very flexible around my schedule. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a thoughtful, motivating, and results-driven career coach.

Excited to work with you in the future still and thank you again for the last few months.
